The St. Louis Blues were dead last on January second of 2019. That means nothing now because the Blues move on to the Stanley Cup Finals.
St. Louis Blues eliminated the San Jose Sharks in 6 games with a 5-1 win. When the final buzzer sounded in St. Louis the speakers blasted the song Gloria. The song Gloria has become the playoff anthem for the Blues this year and will play on as they move toward the Bruins in the finals.
The Blues will match up in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Boston Bruins. This will be the first time the St. Louis Blues have reached the Stanley Cup Finals in 49 years. Ironically enough the Blues played the Boston Bruins the last time they were in the finals.

Many people might remember the famous number 4 Bobby Orr goal. Bobby Orr flying through the air to score the goal and clinch the cup for the Bruins in 4 straight games.
This year is different though and a new chapter is about to be written. The Blues have a rookie goalie sensation in net. Will that be enough to win in the Stanley Cup Finals? Tuukka Rask is playing the best he haas ever played between the pipes.
It could also be said that the Conn Smythe will be awarded to the Stanley Cup winning teams goalie. Could Jordan Binnington be the NHL Rookie of The Year and a Conn Smythe winner? That would make history.
The Blues will start the NHL Stanley Cup Finals on the road in Boston on May 27th at 8 pm. This series should be quite a doozy!
