The former Toronto Maple Leafs star Nazem Kadri is expected to return Wednesday night. The second line centreman is expected to make his return with the Avs tonight.

Kadri, who missed the Avalanche’s last three games with an upper-body injury is looking to make his return tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers. Who won’t be in the lineup though is Avalanche rookie sensation, Cale Makar.

Makar was injured against the Boston Bruins after receiving a hit by Brad Marchand. With the success of the Avs though it would be expected that they don’t need to rush the youngster back to the line-up.

The depth the Colorado Avalanche have in the organization is well known and it is reasonable and expected for them to give the youngster all the time he needs for a full recovery.

Kadri is 3rd in team scoring so far this year as the Avalanche sit behind only St.Louis in the Western Conference.
