Gambling Corner – Our picks for October 25th

Gambling Corner

Tonight isn’t a big night in the NHL but there are a few games on the docket. The Gambling Corner for October 25th will come as no surprise for some of the games.

First of we have some action coming our way from Toronto. The additional 5 games in the NHL tonight are in Vegas, New Jersey, Ottawa, Detroit and Vancouver. It should be an exciting night of action nonetheless.

San Jose Sharks at Toronto Maple Leafs

The San Jose Sharks are essentially only playing with only 5 defensemen right now. The team is giving big minutes to there top defence and when you do that on a back to back you may have some trouble.

Also the Sharks have been lacking in stellar goaltending. This may also play as a factor against the Leafs but we will see.

The Toronto Maple Leafs on the other hand are looking to show the hometown crowd a little more of a polished product. The Leafs are expected to have Mitch Marner in the lineup tonight. The Leafs are still playing with Nylander on the top line. Having up there is crazy to us but hey it is what it is.

We will also see Hutchinson in net for the Leafs and that will be the wild card of the evening. If Hutchinson can string together a few good periods the Leafs shouldn’t have much trouble at all. If not than the likes of Evander Kane will certainly light him up. It should also be noted that Hutchinson hasn’t won a game yet this year for Toronto. Thats not good if your looking to have a solid back up help out and play 20-30 games a year. He has to win.

We pick Toronto Maple Leafs

Colorado Avalanche at Vegas Golden Knights

The Colorado Avalanche are on fire right now but are also coming off their first loss of the year. Likewise the performance of Marc Andre Fleury has been lights out to start the year. It seems like highlight real save after highlight real save for the Vegas net minder.

The game will be very anticipated because of the talent of both teams and with Rantanen out of the lineup for Colorado this will be a great test to see what they can bring. The star forward practically twisted his ankle 180 degrees in a game earlier this week against the St. Louis Blues.

With Fleury having a .970 save percentage in his last 3 games it will be a huge test for the Avalanche players. We just think tonight isn’t going to be the night Fleury plays bad.

We have Vegas Golden Knights for the win.

Arizona Coyotes at New Jersey Devils

This one is a snoozer. We are so very disappointed to see the Devils play so poorly to start the season. There really isn’t much to report on this game except that if the Devils keep losing with the roster they have the coach might want to dust off the resume.

We have Arizona winning this one.

New York Islanders at Ottawa Senators

The game is going to be a good test for the Islanders. The Islanders should beat the Senators. Although the Senators are coming off of a big win against the Red Wings.

We chose the islanders for tonight.

Buffalo Sabres at Detroit Redwings

The Buffalo Sabres are looking very good. The Detroit Red Wings not so much. This game really shouldn’t even be close. Even though the Sabres are coming off a loss they should do good tonight.

We are going to pick the Sabres for tonight.

Washington Capitals at Vancouver Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks are playing at home against a Washington team that played a good Edmonton team last night. Washington played extra time and lost last knight so they may have some fatigue today.

We are going to take Vancouver for this one.
